Week 1 — Foundations & Microsoft Security Ecosystem
Cyber threat evolution, ransomware and identity-based attacks, MITRE ATT&CK, CIA Triad, defence in depth, Zero Trust, cloud shared responsibility, Microsoft Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, and SIEM versus XDR.
Week 2 — Identity Architecture & Access Governance
Entra ID architecture, authentication and authorisation, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, Conditional Access, risk-based controls, PIM, JIT access and hybrid identity risks.
Week 3 — Endpoint Detection & Response

SOC structures, incident lifecycle, Sentinel architecture, data connectors, analytics rules, alert engineering and detection engineering fundamentals.

KQL, log analysis, filtering and correlation, triage and enrichment, Logic Apps playbooks, threat hunting and Sentinel Notebooks.
Weeks 6–7 — Cloud & Data Security
Azure infrastructure security, NSGs, cloud workload protection, data lifecycle security, DLP, sensitivity labels, classification and secure data governance.
Weeks 8–9 — Security Architecture & Zero Trust
End-to-end Zero Trust design, SIEM and XDR integration, alert fatigue reduction, enterprise risk modelling, security architecture workshops and a mid-size enterprise design project.
Week 10 — Career Readiness & Capstone
